The route is developed in different landscape units that alternate the most agricultural landscape, with distinctly Mediterranean characteristics with the presence of the olive grove, almond and vineyards, with other less altered landscapes formed by varied wooded spots and with predominance of the forest stnads of pine trees that will connect with two of the most enigmatic, spectacular and different natrual parks, The Natural Park of Delta de l'Ebre and Natural Park dels Ports. Stresses the fact of being a road away from roads and most towns, passing through spectacular scenery.
Very recommended to go with groups and in family.
Hife brings you closer to the greenway and transports you along with your bikes to discover the magic of these places.
This itinerary consists of once you get to Gandesa, at the bus station, you download the bikes from the trunk and pedal to Bot following the RT 10 where you can access the Vía verde. Then we provide a map indicating the path to access the Greenway from Gandesa). Before accessing the Greenway, we recommend a tour of Gandesa.

Greenway from Bot to Aldover
From Bot you can already access the Greenway. We recommend visiting the Racó de les olles, where the erosion of the Canaletes River, before entering the municipal territory of Bot, has carved the rock giving rise to "tolls". It is an ideal place for lovers of canyoning with jumps of more than five meters.
After Bot you will pass through Prat de Comte, the place where you will cross the longest tunnel of the greenway (749 meters) where you never see the end and where it is essential to bring a front to illuminate the journey.
Next, you can visit the Fontcalda Sanctuary, an ancient place of spiritual retreat, where you can soak in the Canaletes River or enjoy the warm waters of the natural spring. There is a picnic area, camping and barbecue. For families with children this section is ideal since you can make small excursions around the campsite with the tranquility of this road without motorized traffic.
After the Fontcalda Sanctuary, you will find yourself in the old Pinell de Brai station, where we recommend stopping in this town to visit the Celler de la Cooperativa, the work of César Martinell and Brunet, architect of Gaudí's disciple. Then you will find the Benifallet Station, where we invite you to enter its cafeteria, taste its famous hot "tortilla with freshly made cheese" sandwiches or the dishes of its restaurant.
You will arrive at Xerta, where the Greenway loses its natural path. You will pass through the old railway station and cross the village, where its church stands out, with two statues of dogs in the form of gargoyles rising up in its bell tower. After crossing the village (here we show you the way to go on a map) you will cross a bridge under the C-12 road where you will connect again with the Greenway and you will reach the town of Aldover.
